Mediprint UK provide a bespoke part replacement and custom design service for the medical procurement industry.
We can also support other industries where spare parts can be difficult to come by or are prohibitively expensive to buy.
Our custom design capability allows customers to find that 'impossible to find' part quickly and cost effectively.
Mediprint UK currently use exclusively Original Purse printer hardware. We believe Prusa provide the highest quality hardware to ensure minimum downtime, ensuring our customers are not let down by delays.
During the 2020/2021 pandemic Mediprint UK printed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide hundreds of urgent face masks to assist the NHS and other care providers, all for free.
Mediprint UK can utilise many types of print medium, depending on the customers needs.
Typically PETG is used for imaging spare parts as it provides a strong, stable, non toxic part with good resistance to UV.
We can print in:
PLA, PETG, ASA, PC Blend carbon fiber, PVB, Nylon, ABS, Wood Filament, Titanium/PLA blend
Please email us if you cannot find an answer to your question.
We begin with simple dialogue to find out some basic information about your requirements.
If it seems we can be of assistance we ask for a sample of the part you wish to have replicated or a detailed engineering drawing of the part.
We then design and produce a prototype for you to check if meets your requirements.
If it does we produce the required quantity and send them to you.... simple!
Cost varies considerably upon the complexity of the part and finishing requirements, the simpler and smaller the part, the cheaper it is to design and replicate.
As a rough example, a 10mm spacer with perhaps some specific detail that means you can't simply buy an off the shelf alternative could cost as little as £3 each (based on a minimum order quantity of 20).
Simple answer is yes! provided the file is in STL, STEP, OBJ, AMF or PRUSA format and fits within our maximum size limits
Regrettably the answer is yes.
Currently we are constrained to a maximum print size of 250mm H x 210mm W x 210mm.
We are looking to expand our size capabilities soon so please feel free to enquire if you have sizeable orders for larger parts.
The simple answer is not really!
3D FDM printing is not a fast process so we advise if you require large quantities in one order (over 300) it may be better to have your parts produced by injection moulding. We can setup multiple printers to print orders continuously but this may not be fast enough for big quantities.
Our service is geared towards low volume part requirements, but bear in mind, tooling for injection moulding is incredibly expensive, our design costs are not!
We may be the better option.
Design costs are built in to the unit price.
We don't ask for an upfront design cost unless you only want a design and no printing, in which case you will be charged a fee depending on the complexity of the design. In such a case you will own the design and it will be sent to you on a memory card, otherwise Mediprint UK will own and keep the design file for future repeat orders or as we see fit.
We can begin a no obligation dialogue to see if Mediprint UK can assist you.
